What is dScribe?
dScribe is an elegant and effective documentation solution, focused on increasing adoption of your applications and reports. You can use it to:
increase understanding by embedding documentation directly into your enterprise applications and reports
facilitate onboarding & adoption by creating a searchable inventory of your applications and reports
harmonize definitions in a collaborative business glossary
What are the typical steps customers take when getting started?
These are some actions successful customers typically take:
Book a 30min onboarding session with dScribe
Import any already existing definitions to dScribe (CSV upload)
Document a first set of key reports or application pages within their organization
--> These steps typically take 1-2 hours in total
Invite a number of users to validate the solution and already documented entries
--> Validation with the first 5-10 users is typically done at the end of the first week
Set up Single Sign-On (SSO)
Do a general communication do announce the availability of dScribe to the target audience (could be company-wide, all stakeholders of a specific project, everyone in the targetted business unit...)
--> Further implementation can be done organically (document key reports, app pages and definitions when they become relevant or whenever users ask questions) or in project mode (e.g. plan a number of days to focus on documenting all key content related to a specific domain)
What type of support will I get?
We're offering a free 30min onboarding session to help you get started. After that, you'll get access to our support resources and team to help you succeed.
If you need additional guidance, we have a network of certified dScribe partners that can assist you with topics such as business glossary documentation, data governance and more.
What systems does dScribe integrate with?
Via the browser extension, dScribe can be integrated directly into any browser-based application or site.
For automatic metadata retrieval, there are a range of out-of-the-box integrations plus an API allowing you to integrate dScribe with any of your sources at will.
Is my data secure with dScribe?
While dScribe only stores your documentation entries and cannot read the actual data from your systems, we still take data security very seriously. We have several enterprise security measures in place and have repeatedly scored highly on security reviews by external parties. If you would like more details, you can request our technical security briefing via support@dscribedata.com.
